A scalable and responsive template farmers can visit to learn about any of Bayer Crop Science’s brand campaigns.

This was one of my projects from an internship with the New York-based design agency, Konrad Group↗.

Our client for this project was Bayer Crop Science↗, an agricultural company.

How might we.…

Design an engaging experience for farmers to easily navigate and stay up-to-date on seasonal events

Discover

Exploring the existing sites

I went through each of the different sections within the existing sites to identify the different types of content that the template would need to account for.

The content that the final template needed to account for were hero images, event promo, banners, social media callouts, event host introductions, articles and products, past events, timelines, and event details.

Explorations

Exploring different layouts

After auditing these pages, I determined the goals for each content block and began brainstorming designs.

Event Details

There were two main issues this design had to take into account: one to take into account different use cases as event detail content and the amount of information varies depending on the type of event, the second to make lots of information digestible and easily scannable.

Timeline

The challenge was to communicate different subdivisions of time with varying amounts of information. Some events had up to 10 events with multiple subdivisions within the same month while others had only a couple events across the span of years.

Hosts

The biggest decision here was whether another component should be made to account for single versus multiple hosts—after leading a discussion with the design team, we agreed that the use case warranted different designs.
